What is massage

WHAT IS MASSAGE AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

Massage therapy is an ancient revered art that has been practised for centuries. It can do wonders for your body, both physically and mentally. Massage is recognized as an effective treatment for many health conditions and is no longer considered just an indulgence. Massage provides the stimulation, and the body does the work.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE?

Massage helps to keep your body in balance. It reduces stress and anxiety hormones and incerases serotonin and dopamine hormones that are also called "feel good hormones". It provides relief from muscle tension and joint stiffness, increases blood circulation and reduces heart rate, induces relaxation, reduces back pain, relieves depression and insomnia, relieves myofascial and Fibramyalgia pain, relieves headaches and migranes, etc...

BEFORE MASSAGE

Take a shower. A hot shower loosens up tight muscles and makes massage more beneficial. Do not eat a heavy meal within an hour before the treatment. Use the bathroom so you won't need to cut off your treatment time for a bathroom break.

PLEASE ADVISE ME

DURING MASSAGE

SPEAK UP! This covers everything you should do while getting a massage. Tell me what your specific needs are, from the amount of pressure you're receiving to areas you do not want to be touched to the temperature of the room. Listen to your body and get the most out of your massage!

AFTER MASSAGE

Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins from your body. Rest at least 30 minutes. Be aware that when your body starts to let go of tension there can be a drop of body temperature.
